Flattery?

Dental Hygienist (to me): You have good saliva flow. That's a good thing.

Whenever I'm unsure of my interpretation of a compliment/insult/generic statement I try rehashing it with synonyms which sometimes makes gleaning meaning easier.

Here, "You have good saliva flow" might be reinterpreted as:

"You're really spitty."

Compliment?
