"Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta."
I'm actually enjoying the language of this book. I never re-read things just to hear them, but I've been re-reading the first paragraphs of the book. Sometimes outloud, sometimes in my head.
I'm feeling guilty about enjoying this book.

My favorite part of reading Lolita was when i got to carry it around in my pocketbook like it was my bible. When I held it, I would make sure I was gripping so hard that my fingertips turned white. And I never read it in private. ALWAYS in public.
it makes the reading that much more enjoyable. trust me.
When I bought it at the bookstore, the only copy they had was one with huge lips on the front cover. I asked the woman at the counter if they had any other copies with better covers. We searched the entire store and had two other workers involved before we found the cover of the little girl's legs. I bought that one. And the worker said, "So, little girls legs are better than giant lips?"
"Yes, much."
